SMME Mentoring
This is an Energy and Water SETA accredited programme, training SMMEs with respect to the development of both leadership skills and early-stage business acumen.
- Enterprise Development
- Status: Open
- Project Type: SMME Mentoring
About this Project
Due to the high level of unskilled labour and business in the Postmasburg and Danielskuil local area, our research has found that the vast majority of people in the SMME sector are “forced entrepreneurs” who do not have alternative employment options in the formal sector.
Therefore, not having the required experience and skills to apply for job and business opportunities that the local mines may have available, limits the growth of many SMMEs in the area. Jasper strives to drive skills development through enterprise development, part of this drive includes the Mentorship of new and old entrepreneurs we have worked with.
We trust that through having a Mentorship programme, we may be able to achieve the following;
- Support SMMEs with simple things such as putting together a proper invoice.
- Assist in maintaining an operational business.
- Ensure that proper accreditation is taken if required,
- Budgeting and cash flow

In 2020 we contracted TFNP Projects to supply groceries to schools in the Tsantsabane and Daniëlskuil local areas. This project was well received by the Department of Education and the schools themselves.
In 2021, together with Aurik Enterprise Development we began the process of mentoring and professionalizing TFNP General Trading as we continued with the feeding scheme programme in 2021. The mentoring of this 100% black woman owned company started in 2021 and ended in Q3 of 2022.
